TREK OVERVIEW
Starting from Shimla, MadTrek takes you across picturesque landscapes and serene villages. You will also visit high-altitude wonders like Chitkul at 3,450 meters, where the Spiti River glimmers amidst towering peaks. The highest village in 3,450 meters offers Chitkul, mountain scenes, and a floating river.
After that, Nako, Gue, and Key, where life is slowly moving, are surrounded by old traditions and robust beauty. As you pass through Kibar, Kaza, Komic, Hikkim, Langza, and Dhankar, you witness some of the most iconic places to visit in Spiti Valley.
The trip ends at Kalpa with breathtaking views of snow peaks and terraced fields, making you remember the beauty, culture, and adventure of this incredible road trip.












DAY WISE ITINERARY
Day 1 - Shimla to Chitkul
- Meet your driver when you come to Shimla and start your journey to Chitkul.
- Enjoy changing scenes when traveling from wide, open grasslands to thick forests.
- On the way, Sarahan and Rampur pass through Bushahr with fantastic scenes of the Sutlej River until you reach Karcham.
- Once in Chitkul, stop for food in the popular ‘Hindustan Ka Akhari Dhaba’.
- Finally, check your pre-booked hotel or Homestay and rest for the night.
Day 2 - Chitkul to Nako Village
- Check out of your hotel in Chitkul.
- Head out for local sightseeing and view the Nako Monastery, known for its serene atmosphere.
- Explore Nako Lake upon arrival and experience the local culture.
- Witness a change in the shades of the lake water as the sun sets behind the mighty mountains.
Day 3 - Nako to Gue Village to Kaza
- Gue Village Head to see the 500-year-old mummy.
- Continue the forbidden monastery, known as "Ajanta of the Himalayas".
- Continue to Pin Valley National Park.
- Now, Kaza is the main town of the Spiti Valley.
Day 4 - Kaza Sightseeing
- Explore Kaza and its surrounding attractions.
- Go to the monastery, one of the largest and oldest monasteries in the world.
- Search the beautiful village of Kibber, which is known for its high wildlife sanctuary.
- Go to Langza Village to see the famous Buddha statue.
- Stay overnight in Kaza, a key location during your Spiti trip.
Day 5 - Kaza to Kalpa
- Head towards the beautiful Dhankar Monastery.
- Explore the monastery and enjoy the wonderful scenes around it.
- Go to imagination, see Kinnur Kailash Peak, and relax near the waterfall.
- Take the best time to visit to relax after traveling and sightseeing.
- Stay overnight in the camp or homestay in Kalpa.
Day 6 - Kalpa to Shimla
- Check out from your camp/homestay in Kalpa.
- Travel through winding roads alongside the Satluj River with picturesque Deodar forests.
- Arrive at Bal Village and explore the local culture on your trip to Spiti Valley.
- Overnight camping or staying in a guesthouse in Bal Village is a great way to explore Spiti.
- Return to your home with special memories of your Spiti Valley adventure.

Price Includes
- Meals Offered: The Spiti tour packages include meals from dinner on day 1 to breakfast on day 6 throughout the entire tour.
- Transportation: Transportation is included in the group tour package from day 1 to day 6, covering the journey from Shimla to Kalpa.
- Accommodation: Accommodation is included. Camping on some nights and staying in a guesthouse or hotel on others is part of the adventure in the Spiti Valley package.
- Sightseeing: All planned sightseeing destinations will be covered as per the itinerary. Enjoy bonfires wherever possible during the trip.
Price Excludes
- Personal expenses: Costs for things such as extra food, snacks, drinks, or personal items aren’t included. You have to cover the best places to visit yourself.
- Travel Insurance: Most Trek holiday packages do not come with travel insurance. It is wise to organize your own to stay preserved in case of an emergency or unexpected events.
CONFIRMATION POLICY
- Within a day of a successful booking, the client gets a voucher of the confirmation through email.
- If the preferred slots are not available, an alternative schedule will be arranged according to the preference of the customer, and a new voucher of confirmation will be sent through email.
- Alternatively, before confirmation, the customer can decide to cancel their booking, and a complete refund will be issued.
CANCELLATION POLICY
- Cancellations made in between 45 days of the start date of the trip will be assessed a cancellation fee of 25% of the total tour cost.
- Cancellations made between 15-30 days of the trip’s start date will be charged 50% of the total tour cost as cancellation fees.
- If you cancel within 0-15 days of the trip’s start date, you will be charged 100% of the entire tour cost as cancellation fees.
- In the event of bad weather or government restrictions, any trips or events may be cancelled. In such a case, the operators will do all possible to give a viable alternative. However, a cash refund is not available on this item.
REFUND POLICY
If you select a refund after canceling your trek, the refund amount will be deposited into the payment account that you had used while making payment to us. It will take ten to twelve working days.
