DAY WISE ITINERARY
Day 1 - DRIVE MANALI TO SOLANG VALLEY | TREK TO BAKAR THACH (3242m) (6-8 hrs) (approx. 13-14 kms.)
- Report in Manali at 9:00 AM for orientation and safety briefing.
- Drive to Solang Valley, the starting point of the Beas Kund trek from Manali.
- Begin trekking towards Bakar Thach, passing the beautiful Dhundi village — where the Beas River meets a tributary from Beas Kund and Rohtang Pass.
- This point marks the end of the metal road and is your last chance to pick up essentials.
- Trail transitions from dense coniferous forests to high-altitude meadows with blooming rhododendron shrubs.
- Cross the Beas River over a snow bridge, then proceed on a moderate ascent.
- Reach Bakar Thach, a key base camp used for many Himachal trekking tours and expeditions by ABHIMAS (Mountaineering Institute Manali).

Day 2 - DAY 2: BAKAR THATCH – BEAS KUND (3700m.)- BAKAR THATCH (6-7 hrs) Approx 10-11 kms.

HOW TO REACH
The Beas Kund trek officially begins from Dhundi, a scenic spot located around 8 km from Solang Valley, which itself is about 12 km from Manali. This route offers one of the most beautiful short treks in Himachal, leading to the source of the Beas River.
1. Reach Manali
Manali is the base city for the trek and is well connected to major Indian cities.
✈️ By Air:
- Nearest Airport: Bhuntar (Kullu-Manali Airport) – ~50 km from Manali
- From Bhuntar, take a taxi or local bus to reach Manali (1.5–2 hrs)
🚌 By Road:
- From Delhi: ~540 km (12–14 hrs) via overnight Volvo or private bus
- From Chandigarh: ~310 km (8–10 hrs)
2. Manali to Solang Valley (12–13 km / 30–40 mins)
- Hire a taxi, take a shared cab, or use transport arranged by your trek operator
- Solang Valley is a famous adventure hub — also the last point with good phone connectivity and food joints
3. Solang Valley to Dhundi (Approx. 8 km)
- The metal road ends at Dhundi — this is where the trek truly begins
- Your trek team will usually drive or walk with you to Dhundi depending on weather and accessibility
- This route runs alongside the Beas River and offers breathtaking views of surrounding peaks and alpine meadows
Trek Start: Dhundi
- From Dhundi, the trail enters the alpine zone toward Bakar Thach, then onwards to Beas Kund
- Dhundi is also the last location with basic infrastructure — after this, you’ll be trekking in pure wilderness

CONFIRMATION POLICY
- Within a day of a successful booking, the client gets a voucher of the confirmation through email.
- If the preferred slots are not available, an alternative schedule will be arranged according to the preference of the customer, and a new voucher of confirmation will be sent through email.
- Alternatively, before confirmation, the customer can decide to cancel their booking, and a complete refund will be issued.
CANCELLATION POLICY
- Cancellations made in between 45 days of the start date of the trip will be assessed a cancellation fee of 25% of the total tour cost.
- Cancellations made between 15-30 days of the trip’s start date will be charged 50% of the total tour cost as cancellation fees.
- If you cancel within 0-15 days of the trip’s start date, you will be charged 100% of the entire tour cost as cancellation fees.
- In the event of bad weather or government restrictions, any trips or events may be cancelled. In such a case, the operators will do all possible to give a viable alternative. However, a cash refund is not available on this item.
REFUND POLICY
If you select a refund after canceling your trek, the refund amount will be deposited into the payment account that you had used while making payment to us. It will take ten to twelve working days.
