TREK OVERVIEW

The Beas Kund Trek is a popular short-duration trek in Himachal Pradesh, perfect for beginners and nature lovers. Starting from Solang Valley near Manali, the trail passes through lush meadows, streams, and alpine landscapes. It offers magnificent views of peaks like Friendship Peak, Hanuman Tibba, and Shitidhar. The highlight is reaching Beas Kund, a serene glacial lake believed to be the origin of the Beas River. With a duration of 3 days and a maximum altitude of around 12,700 ft, it’s an ideal introduction to Himalayan trekking.

DAY WISE ITINERARY

Day 1 - DRIVE MANALI TO SOLANG VALLEY/ TREK TO BAKAR THACH (3242m) (6-8 hrs) (approx. 13-14 kms.)

- Reporting @9am – Orientation & Briefing of the trek
- we will move to the Solang Valley via vehicle. From Solang Valley our trek will start to Bakar Thach.
- On the route we will cross the Dhundi Village, the Last village in Solang Valley, a place where Beas river meets it’s first tributary coming from Beas kund and Rohtang Pass.
- The last place to stock up with a few essentials before heading to the mountains. Metal road ends here.
- After Dhundi our trek starts from the coniferous tree line to the high altitude pasture . Rhododendron shrub are abundant and River Beas is crossed over a snow bridge .
- The trail is moderately gradient and needs no special efforts. Bakar Thach is base for every expeditions, trekking's done in this region and it is also the base for courses of mountaineering institute Manali (ABHIMAS).
- Bakar Thach is a perfect place to see high mountain ranges, Glaciers and moraines. Night halt at Bakkar Thach.

Day 2 - DAY 2: BAKAR THATCH – BEAS KUND (3700m.)- BAKAR THATCH (6-7 hrs) Approx 10-11 kms.

- Today start climbing towards Beas Kund. The trail goes through moraines then moderates till Beas Kund.
- En route one has to cross a stream flowing down from Hanuman Tibba Glacier. The landscape in the surrounding of Beas kund is vast open valley with snow capped and rocky mountains.
- Beas Kund is a serene lake from which River Beas originates. The lake isn't great in its dimensions but great with importance among Hindu inhabitants of the valley, who used to visit and worship on occasions.
- The lake is holy and polluting around it is prohibited.
- Spend some peaceful time at the Lake then return back to our camp in Bakar Thatch.Once reached here, you will witness the “The Indrahar pass” view up close. This is an experience of a lifetime. Feel grateful while witnessing a night sky covered in stars. Enjoy.
Relish the amazing experience of bonfire along with dinner around 8 PM. Sleep in Laka Camp (1 night).

Day 3 - DAY 3: BAKAR THATCH - SOLANG VALLEY - MANALI. (5–6hrs) Approx. 13–14 kms

- We will Trek back to Dhundi via same trail.
- From Dhundi we will reach to Manali by Road. Your Adventurous trip ends here.
- Go back to your home with unlimited memories.

CONFIRMATION POLICY
  • Within a day of a successful booking, the client gets a voucher of the confirmation through email.
  • If the preferred slots are not available, an alternative schedule will be arranged according to the preference of the customer, and a new voucher of confirmation will be sent through email.
  • Alternatively, before confirmation, the customer can decide to cancel their booking, and a complete refund will be issued.
CANCELLATION POLICY
  • Cancellations made in between 45 days of the start date of the trip will be assessed a cancellation fee of 25% of the total tour cost.
  • Cancellations made between 15-30 days of the trip’s start date will be charged 50% of the total tour cost as cancellation fees.
  • If you cancel within 0-15 days of the trip’s start date, you will be charged 100% of the entire tour cost as cancellation fees.
  • In the event of bad weather or government restrictions, any trips or events may be cancelled. In such a case, the operators will do all possible to give a viable alternative. However, a cash refund is not available on this item.
REFUND POLICY

If you select a refund after canceling your trek, the refund amount will be deposited into the payment account that you had used while making payment to us. It will take ten to twelve working days.
