Imagine breathing the clear air, walking on trails with joy, listening to wind whispering in your ears, seeing the locals busy in farming, tasting the nutritious food and feeling grateful for all your senses. Rajgundha is a valley trek, so be ready to have small talks with the locals as they are very welcoming. This trek is easy and a little adventurous as you will be crossing old wooden bridges, walking on a lot of ascents and descents throughout and will come across The Uhl River. You can expect an easy and smooth trek.
Rajgundha Trek is a trek in Himanchal that starts from various points. We start trekking to Rajgundha from the beautiful paragliding take-off site “The Billing”. The distance from here to Rajgundha is 14 km, approximately 5-6 hours of trek. We advise you to start the day by 9 AM so that you reach the Valley on time to witness the beautiful Valley sunset. A bit of a walk from Billing, and then you will get to the point from where the trek to the most peaceful, serene exotic Rajgundha Valley begins.
While trekking towards Rajgundha, keep your cameras ready to capture the clear sky, lush greenery and villagers farming the local vegetables here. It’s a beautiful site. You will also come across the highest point of the trek – Channa ghat (2700 mt). It’s a point from where you can see both Rajgundha valley and Kangra valley.
Also, be prepared to walk a gentle descent as the trail here is a little rough. With all the turns and ups and downs, you will enter Rajgundha.
Once you enter Rajgundha, hug the cup of your hot mountain tea, relax, enjoy the night camp, delicious dinner, bonfire and remember to soak in the sunset view and breathe in with the sunrise the next day.
Wake up early and enjoy the sunrise while you sip in your hot mountain tea. Inhale the fresh morning air, and do not forget to click lots of beautiful pictures of yourself and this cute little Valley. After your stroll, have breakfast and get ready to trek down to The Billing take off-site for paragliding.
Once you reach The Billing, sit down and soak in the spectacular view of Bir from above and Imagine yourself flying over this view. The Billing is one of Asia’s Best Spot to paraglide.
Now take a deep breathe and get ready for a briefing safety briefing session for tandem paragliding take off with our experienced pilots. You will be experiencing a joyous feeling and a bit of nervousness.
We assure you the nervousness will all be gone once you meet our pilots and take that leap of faith in the air. Do not worry and relax. Once you jump, only to fly high, enjoy looking at the Dhauladhar Ranges, Kangara Valley and the beautiful view of Bir.
Please make the most of your eyes and fill them with the views that you will never forget. 15-20 minutes of pure bliss. Experience it!
Once you land at The Bir landing site, look back at the beautiful sky full of colourful paragliders. Rest a bit at the landing site if you want to. Remember to take your luggage from the cloakroom and bid a farewell with a promise to come back again.
